Margaret Campbell retired in 2012, and she began volunteering for several varied charitable organizations. Margaret enjoys serving others in both administrative capacities and hands-on activities. She used her computer skills to manage donations and prepare donation acknowledgements for one resource center and at another nonprofit, she learned how to utilize communication software to create electronic newsletters and other correspondence. Uniquely at an urban farm, Margaret learned to process raw alpaca fleece to prepare it for spinning into yarn. As a member of a local stitching group, she knits hats, scarves, and blankets for charities in the Cincinnati area. For over 5 years, she has also enjoyed working with elementary school children as a reading and math tutor.
Margaret likes the challenging projects she receives from the ministry. She prepares the weekly e-newsletter for delivery, edits documents, creates spreadsheets for data collection, organizes materials, and participates in discussions.
