In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation. Psalm 5:3 This verse really hit home this morning. I can get so caught up in the struggles of my life that I forget to lay my burdens at the cross. Running around in my mind trying to figure out how I am going to change this circumstance instead of waiting in expectation for God to move.
The balance between action and waiting on Him is sooo difficult for me to find sometimes. But I’m realizing that balance only exist from the inside because our outside circumstances are ever changing. I picture a teeter totter as my life. Depending on where the weight of my circumstances are decides whether I am up or down. If I allow the Holy Spirit to work through me He is in the middle keeping me balanced regardless of the weight I feel like I’m carrying.
“Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 Let us lay it all at the cross and leave it there. God is moving even if we don’t see or feel it.
